FNS-Cloud

Data Policy Laboratory

PolicyLab

9 April 2020

Thursday

As part of community engagement, FNS-Cloud wants to consult with stakeholders with respect to governance and oversight, talent and culture, and management and ICT, facilitating technical and non-technical discussions in order to ensure FNS-Cloud is fit-for-purpose.

As part of governance discussion, EuroFIR AISBL will host the first FNS-Cloud community engagement workshop on Thursday, 9th April 2020 at Pentahotel Brussels City Centre, Brussels (BE) (09:00-16:30).

This workshop will consider FNS data management, following on from a WP4 data workshop on 8th April, with the aim of drafting a data policy that can be shared more widely amongst stakeholders for consultation.

This issue is important because FNS-Cloud is generating datasets in FNS-Cloud (WP4, Eileen Gibney), adopting datasets into FNS-Cloud from other source, mostly historical, and intending to invite others to make their data FAIR via FNS-Cloud in the future. To do this effectively and efficiently, we need a practical starting point and recommendations going forward (2020-2023).

The workshop will use an established format (PolicyLab), suitable, where time is limited, designed for individual and group work involving different stakeholders (e.g. researchers, ICT specialists) to create robust ideas quickly, leading to evidence-based, user-centred policy.

The day will be busy and interactive; if you have an opinion about FNS-Cloud data, we want to hear about here! For more information, contact Siân Astley
